NEWBORN SESSIONS

Oh how I love photographing newborns! I have had 2 of my own within these past  2 years, so I know the love parents feel for their new babies. I promise to be gentle and take extra care of your little ones as I try to capture their sweetness in photographs. Here is some information that will be helpful for you.

How to plan/What to expect

• Try to book your session before the baby is born for about 10 days after your due-date. If we need to move the date forward or backwards I can be flexible. This time frame is the best for capturing their newness and sleepiness. Also, baby acne usually starts to set in around 2 1/2- 3 weeks.  (this being said, of COURSE I am willing to take their pictures at ANY age! )

• Newborn sessions generally take place in your own home – to keep your babies where they are most comfortable. Other locations can be discussed.

• Once you have your baby home, try to figure out when they are the sleepiest and we can schedule for that time. The sleepier the better!In order to get you the best photographs, let me do the handling with the baby while you/your husband relax and enjoy watching the shoot. I will be gentle, I promise. I will bring along a space heater to keep them warm in their birthday suits or you can let me use one that you already have.

• Be prepared for a long session (up to 3 hours). I will provide many breaks for you to feed the baby etc. so don’t you worry!

• Accidents are bound to happen, so don’t worry. I’ve been peed on by my babies- and worse- numerous times! I will bring towels for potential clean up.

• If you would like siblings in the photo, let me know ahead of time so we can plan.

• Images will be ready 1-2 weeks after our session. We can then set up a time to view the images together and/or I will provide an online gallery which will be available for viewing/ordering for 30 days.

What to wear/bring/provide

• Dress baby in easily removable clothing (kimono type shirts etc) or have the baby swaddled in just a diaper

• I will bring some props, but may ask to use some of what you have around the house. If you have any specials blankets, toys, hats or accessories you would like included in the photograph, have those ready as well.

Grow with Baby sessions

These sessions will follow your baby as he/she grows their first year. It will include three sessions of your choice which can include a maternity session and any month during their first year.

Portrait session: $150
Due upon booking your session to hold your date

You can also include a maternity session in your Grow With Baby plan.
Grow with Baby Plan: $300
-Includes 3 sessions during maternity/first year of baby’s life
Session fee due upon booking your first session to hold your date and to receive first priority for your following 2 sessions

Albums, canvases, prints, digital images and other fun stuff are available for purchase on top of the session price. I will be happy to send you a price list- just ask!
